Filming for "Alexander Dorner."
We have a number of projects at various stages of production and development.
Among them:
Alexander Dorner: Art and Consequences is a feature length documentary about a seminal early 20th Century modernist art historian and curator. Dorner rose to fame in the artistic and social ferment of Weimar Germany, collaborating with such luminaries as Walter Gropius, El Lissitzky and Laslo Moholy-Nagy. But when the National Socialists came to power Dorner chose a morally ambiguous path. While apparently collaborating with the Nazis he also smuggled key works of art out of Germany, saving them from certain destruction. History judged him harshly. As a refugee in America he was accused of being a Nazi sympathizer and forced from his job as Museum Director at the Rhode Island School of Design. This is a story of difficult choices and consequences. In script development and fundraising. Generous support provided by the LEF Foundation.
The New Normal: The Fate of the Middle Class is a co-production between Frumkin Productions and Spy Pond Productions that seeks to explore the changing role of America's middle class. Once both the powerhouse behind, and the beneficiary of, a thriving American economy, the middle class is today threatened from all sides. What does the decline of the middle class mean for millions of families who no longer feel securely prosperous and for the nation as a whole? Do we still have an American Dream?
